What is a power cabinet?

A power cabinet refers to a combination of electrical control cabinets that provide power for the normal operation of the entire machine, including contactors, frequency converters, high-voltage cabinets, transformers, etc.
The function of the power cabinet:
1. Supply power to electrical equipment (provide power to equipment);
2. Start and stop operation of electrical equipment (with start and stop buttons);
3. Check the operation of the detection equipment (with signal indicator lights, ammeters and voltmeters);

4. The power cabinet for protecting electrical equipment (circuit breakers) is a distribution cabinet, which is specifically designed to provide power and control for power equipment (generally referring to electric motors).

Types of power cabinets
Power cabinets can be divided into outdoor and indoor types. In terms of installation, they can be classified into suspended and floor-standing types. In terms of size, they can be categorized into power cabinets and power boxes.
The differences of power cabinets:
The difference between a power cabinet and a lighting cabinet
The power cabinet supplies electricity to the equipment, with 380v being the most common.
The lighting cabinet is mainly used for lighting, and the output is mostly 220v.
The differences between power cabinets, distribution cabinets and distribution boxes
Distribution boxes are relatively small in size and are generally used for simple control of single machines or a small number of devices. The power cabinet is of a large volume, with a large number of components inside and relatively complex power equipment control. The distribution cabinet is relatively large in size and usually equipped with multiple large switches and meters to control a section or workshop.
